Your adventure begins with a convenient, private pick up from your designated location anywhere in Lombok. Our team will transfer you to the Tastura Trekking basecamp, nestled in the tranquil village of Aik Berik, for your first night’s stay. Here, you will experience the genuine warmth of local hospitality, with a complimentary, authentic dinner and breakfast provided at the accommodation. For guests arriving in the early afternoon, there is a special opportunity to take a short excursion to the nearby Benang Kelambu Waterfall, a stunning curtain of fresh spring water cascading beautifully through the lush forest. The evening concludes with a comprehensive trekking briefing by your guide, ensuring you are fully prepared for the journey ahead.

The Jungle Gate and Pristine Canopy Ascent
Following a hearty breakfast at the basecamp, your day begins at 8:00 AM with a short, scenic 5-kilometer transfer to the official Jungle Gate. This is where your trekking adventure truly begins. Stepping onto the trail, you will immediately enter the protected tropical rainforest of the Mount Rinjani National Park. The trail winds through incredibly rich, dense vegetation, shaded by a towering canopy and echoing with the sounds of native wildlife. After a mid-day lunch break prepared by our dedicated porter team in the heart of the forest, the ascent continues until you reach the magnificent Aik Berik Crater Rim campsite. Here, you will settle in for the night, enjoying a freshly prepared dinner under the stars while anticipating the summit push.

Conquering Sangkareang (3,200 MASL) and The Journey Onward
The highly anticipated summit day starts with an early 3:00 AM wake up call. After an energizing pre dawn breakfast and a hot beverage, you will begin the thrilling ascent under the starlit sky toward Mount Sangkareang, Rinjani’s spectacular second peak. Reaching the 3,200-meter summit just in time for dawn, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking, unobstructed sunrise and sweeping panoramic views of the magnificent Rinjani caldera. After soaking in the magic of the summit and capturing unforgettable photos, you will descend back to the crater rim campsite to pack your belongings and immediately begin your scenic descent through the vibrant rainforest. To recharge your energy, our team will serve a freshly prepared lunch halfway down the trail. Upon reaching the Jungle Gate, you will enjoy a fun and authentic local touch with a traditional Ojek (motorcycle taxi) ride taking you back to the Tastura Trekking basecamp. Once you arrive, our private transport will be ready to transfer you to your next destination around Lombok and end the service.
